Training Opportunities
The Saskatchewan Foster Families Association provides comprehensive training for foster parents, including mandatory training and additional courses focused on caregiver and child-specific needs.
Training is available through instructor-led sessions, video conferencing and self-directed online learning.

P.R.I.D.E. Training
P.R.I.D.E. is a licensed model of practice for the development and support of foster families. Training includes Pre-Service education as well as ongoing Core (In-service) training for approved foster families.

Additional Learning
SFFA offers additional learning opportunities to help foster parents understand and support the needs of children and youth in their care. Topics include trauma, cultural training, medical and safety information and other caregiver and child-specific needs.
