In-Home Support
In-Home Support for Foster Families
If you, as a foster parent encounter special circumstances, such as a large number of children placed in your home or children with high-level needs, the In Home Support program is here to help you.
If identified by the Ministry of Social Services that you need some extra help, the SFFA can provide an In-Home Support Worker to help you with the day-to-day supervision of children, preparing meals, house cleaning, or laundry.
The purpose of the In-Home Support Worker is never to replace the role of the foster family, but to help foster parents focus on their primary responsibility - the children in their home - when there are difficult situations.
